Twice a year our members clean up Red Hill Road for Tidy Towns and Clean Up Australia

One of our most significant projects is to plant out hundreds of trees in the newly constructed stage of Red Hill Rd. The first hundred were planted in May, another 400-500 planted in August.

Michael, Richard and Tony from WWCC got an early start. Thankyou guys!

One of the native trees planted.

Planting begins in the prepared beds.

President Bob shows us his digging style.

Christine plants another tree.

Merryl provided morning tea - gluten-free of course!

Smoko!

Neil and Mike discuss strategy.

Mary Ann and Christine chat during a break.

Morning tea ....

Then the barby blokes turned up. Steak sangas and coldies all round.

Graeme takes a well-deserved break.

The tree planters!

And the very next day - time again to clean up Red Hill Road for the Tidy Towns judging. Another group of hard workers turned up.

Don shows us where the rubbish needs to go! President Bob scavenges for junk.
Mike waves as he works. Baz is looking for a one footed sporty toddler to fit his find.

Mary Ann scored a golf ball and a bunch of keys. The owner of the keys was very happy to have them back, President Bob will find a use for the golf ball.

Philip engineered himself a paper picker upper, while Bruce did it the old fashioned way.
