Centenary Drive/Peter and Helen Walsh Memorial

The opening of Centenary Drive is the culmination of four years of planning and preparation. The brainchild of PP Philip Cross, the beautification of the new section of Red Hill Road has been established to mark 100 years of Rotary International.

This included the planting of many hundreds of native trees and bushes along the new section of Red Hill Road over several months. The Rotary Club of Wagga Wagga acknowledges the ongoing support of Wagga Wagga City Council in this project.

At the same time that this project began, our friend Peter Walsh PDG, PP, PHF + 1 and his wife Helen PHF were tragically killed in a place crash in Connecticut USA after the Chicago Rotary World Convention. Our Club dedicates this project to the memory of Peter and Helen.
